Privacy Policy

Almirah is a wardrobe app for Android and the web, available at almirahapp.in. This page explains what information Almirah keeps, why, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, write to hello@almirahapp.in.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, the first name you enter, and a password (stored only in encrypted form by our sign-in provider).
- Your wardrobe: the clothes, outfits, wishlist items, size notes, prices, occasion tags and wear dates you add.
- Photos: photos you add of your clothes, and product pictures fetched from links you paste. Photos are resized before they are uploaded.
- Product links: links you paste are opened to read the product's photo, name and price.
- Shared pages: when you share a piece, outfit, wishlist or your almirah, a copy of what you chose to share is saved so the link works.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or payment details, and the app has no advertising or third-party tracking.
How we use it
- To keep your wardrobe in your account so you can see it on any device.
- To fill in product details, work out cost per wear, and show suggestions under “Goes well with”.
- To show a shared page to people who have its link.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
- Your account and wardrobe text are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore).
- Photos and shared-page images are stored on our own web server for almirahapp.in.
Only you can read or change your wardrobe. Our security rules block everyone else, including other users.
Shop links and commission
Some suggestions and “Buy” buttons open stores such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, AJIO or Meesho through affiliate links, which may earn Almirah a commission at no extra cost to you. We count how many times a suggestion is tapped, without linking that count to you. Once you are on a store's site, that store's own privacy policy applies.
Sharing
Nothing in your wardrobe is public by default. A shared link can be opened by anyone who has it, so share it only with people you choose.
Deleting your data
You can delete any piece, outfit or wishlist item in the app at any time, and its photo is removed from our server.
To delete your whole account, open Almirah on Android or at almirahapp.in, tap Account at the bottom of the screen, then Delete my account, and confirm with your password. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your clothes, outfits, wishlist and size notes, all your photos, and any links you have shared.
Can't sign in any more? Email hello@almirahapp.in from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
Children
Almirah is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
